WE do not have kittens available at this time
We have an active waitlist that we utilize. Reservations are taking approximately 10-12 months to fill. This is (of course) assuming that our queens are healthy/happy and have lots of kittens. :) The health and well being of our cats is #1 so we will not "guarantee" a birthing time.
Most people that do genetic health testing and HCM scans (and more importantly, can prove it with documentation) will carry a waitlist of some sort. Please be wary of anyone that has kittens that are just "sitting around". We are members of the Siberian Cat Health Association and any breeder on that list would be a good resource/breeder - because in order to maintain membership the breeder must perform the health testing/scans on all breeding adults. .
breeding rights
We do not sell breeding rights for our kittens. All kittens will be sent home after they have been sterilized. Our breeding partner (Gypsy Paw Cattery) and I have an agreement that our lines will be limited to us. We apologize for any inconvenience.
waitlists
Waitlist deposits are $250 and that cost goes towards the cost of the kitten. Waitlist deposits get you the choice of your kitten depending on what # your deposit is (ie. If you are the first person to put in a wait-list deposit, you get first choice of kitten). If a kitten is not born with the color/gender that you would like - you can postpone to the next litter without any fees or penalties.
Aya Ranch gets first choice of every litter, though we rarely exercise this option.
we spay/neuter
Our kittens are spayed/neutered at 14 weeks. They are allowed to travel at 15/16 weeks, once they have been released from medical care by our board certified veterinarian.
Why we charge what we do
When we originally started this business, we offered our kittens for an extremely low price. The intent was to get our name out there, and create a solid reputation for ourselves. The intent has always been to slowly increase our price as we build our business. To be clear, we breed Siberian Forest cats because we love the breed. We are working towards creating our own lines with the traits that we care the most about - while still falling within the Siberian breed standard. This process takes years and years to accomplish, and we're in it for the long haul.
Here is an example of some of the things that are included in the cost of your kitten:
- Annual Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) Health Scans [$270 per adult cat] - These screens are necessary to ensure the heart health of your cat/kitten. We provide documentation for sire/queen scans.
- ProBNP Test (Annual blood test) - This test is an early detection test for potential heart defects in cats. By testing for these defects, we're able to further ensure the heart health of your cat.
- Genetic testing [$99 per adult cat] - These tests ensure that your kitten does not have any genetic defects or diseases.
- Spay Neuter [$300-$600 per kitten] - Early Spay/Neuter ensures our cats are protected, and takes the "hard work" out of of it for our fur parents.
- Melatonin Chips [$200 per cat every year] - Melatonin chips ensure that our cats are not miserable due to hormones (heat cycles and male pacing/calling), and prevents associated medical issues such as pyometra.
This doesn't include our food costs ($600-900 per month, depending on if we have kittens), medical costs, the cost of our cats, etc. Responsible breeding is an expensive hobby. We could be like many other breeders and cut costs by skimping out on care or tests, or sending our kittens home before they are 12 weeks old. But we aren't interested in making a ton of money - we're in it for the love of the breed.

kitten cost and payment schedule
As of June 1, 2022 - the total cost of our kittens is $3200. This price change does not include furparents that already have active contracts with us.
This increase is primarily fueled by the recent inflation and the resulting economic impact. We will review this price every 3 months and increase or decrease as the market allows.
The payment schedule is as follows:
- Total cost - $250 (waitlist deposit) = Balance
- 30% of balance due at 8 weeks
- 30% of balance due at 12 weeks
- Remaining balance due at kitten’s go home date.
TICA
We are a TICA registered cattery and are members. Our cats and kittens are all registered with them but they can be easily transferred to the registry of your choice.
travel / shipping
If you are not local, you can come to Austin, TX to pick up your kitten.💜 We are happy to meet you at the Austin Bergstrom airport.
We do offer a delivery option. This fee for this option is based on the following:
- Ticket cost (Delta Comfort + for extra foot room, since the kitten has to ride under a seat)
- Delta fees
- $300 delivery fee.
We do not ship our kittens via cargo.
Shipping/delivery costs are the buyer's responsibility.
what comes with the kitten?
- Pedigree & Transfer
- Copies of the parents genetic testing results/HCM scans
- Shot / Health Records / microchip (Kittens receive all their shots and dewormer prior to leaving us)
- First week of food - we feed Royal Canin kitten
- Collar (Kitten will be collar trained)
- A "transition" blanket. This blanket will smell like the kitten's siblings and Mom and will help with the transition to their new home.
